What Is Botox®?
Botox® is the brand name of a Neurotoxin made by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is a protein-based medication which is frequently used to alleviate signs of ageing.
How Does It Work?
When injected into a muscle, Botox® halts its contractions and movement (such as a frown), preventing the formation of lines and wrinkles. Additionally, it has the ability to soften existing lines, rejuvenating the face for a more youthful appearance.
The effects typically last 3 to 4 months, after which the treatment needs to be repeated to maintain the look.

Lip Flip
Botox® is injected into the muscles around the lip, this injection helps to relax the muscles which will cause the top lip to lift upward, creating the illusion of fuller lips. The effects of a lip flip are subtle and natural looking.

Gummy smile
Botox® is used to relax the elevator muscles around the upper lip. Meaning when smiling the lip will not raise dramatically, exposing the gum and reducing the “gummy smile”.

Downturn Smile
Botox® is used to relax the muscle's action, allowing the corners of the mouth to lift. When we age, our skin loses collagen and elastin. Botox® works by relaxing the mentalis muscle beneath the chin, reducing its activity. This prevents the muscle from causing the skin to dimple, thus smoothing out the texture of the chin.
